3:33Now PlayingIran on Monday rejected US Vice President JD Vance’s claim that Tehran had agreed to allow International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors back into the country, a development which he said was “probably what we’re most excited about as Americans."
Pushing back on Vance’s claim about IAEA inspectors, Iran said that its cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog would continue “under the current procedures". According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said that the country’s interaction with the IAEA would proceed “in accordance with Iran’s obligations under safeguard agreements" and “in line with resolutions passed by Parliament and decisions of the Supreme National Security Council."
