5:35Now PlayingIn his speech from Mount Rushmore commemorating the 250th anniversary of American independence, President Donald Trump gave his remarks on communism, Iran, and Venezuela. Trump termed the resurgence of communism as "a mortal threat to American liberty" that is greater that the World Wars or 9/11.
"As we approach this magnificent anniversary, we see our American identity under a renewed attack a generation after we fought and won the Cold War against the menace of communism. There is now a resurgence of the communist menace in our land, including from newcomers to our country who embrace ideas totally opposed to our way of life and our great success," he said.
"We beat Venezuela in one day and we knocked the hell out of Iran. They're dying to settle. They want to settle so badly. We gave him a week off for a funeral (of the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei) because we're nice , it's true," he said.
