The US president also expresses some frustration that Netanyahu mentions Iranian construction at the site publicly: “I heard Bibi announce that. I said, Why didn’t you just tell it to me? Why’d you have to announce it to the world? I know exactly what’s going on.” While Trump claimed Netanyahu “announced” intelligence indicating Iranian activity at Pickaxe, the prime minister has not spoken about the nuclear site publicly. Some of the reports on purported Iranian activity at the site have, however, been attributed to unnamed Israeli officials.
