8:27Now PlayingAll 13 people on board a sightseeing aircraft, including 11 foreign tourists and two Peruvian crew members, were killed on Saturday when a light plane operated by Aerodiana crashed and caught fire near the ancient Nazca Lines in southern Peru. The aircraft, which departed from Pisco airport for an aerial tour of the world-famous UNESCO geoglyphs, plunged into farmland in the Pueblo Viejo sector, a few kilometers outside the city of Nazca. Authorities confirmed the foreign victims included seven Italian citizens, two Spaniards, and two Germans. Peruvian police, criminalistics experts, and the Air Accident Investigation Board have secured the crash site as investigations begin into the cause of the aviation disaster.
