"The exercise involved a naval strike group consisting of the Admiral Golovko frigate and the Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser, as well as the Bastion coastal missile system of the coastal missile brigade of the Kola Flotilla, part of the Northern Fleet's joint forces. At certain stages of the exercise, a Tu-142 anti-submarine aircraft, Su-24M bombers, MiG-29K carrier-based fighters, Tu-22M3 missile-carrying bombers, and an Il-78 aerial refueling aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces were also involved," the ministry said.
