Aug 11, 20269:33Now PlayingTropical Storm Chan-hom is approaching northeastern Japan, with sustained winds of around 83 km/h recorded off Fukushima. The Japan Meteorological Agency expects the storm to make landfall near the greater Tokyo region, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and high waves. Up to 180 mm of rainfall is forecast over 24 hours in eastern and northern Japan. Dozens of flights at Haneda and Narita airports have been cancelled, while bullet train services remain unaffected so far.
