Speaking at a private dinner hosted by the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches in Florida, Trump suggested that US naval power could be used to exert pressure on Havana. He referred to the deployment of USS Abraham Lincoln and described a scenario in which the vessel would position itself close to the Cuban coast after returning from the Iran operation.
Cuba on Saturday criticised fresh sanctions announced by US President Donald Trump, calling them “collective punishment” against its people. The statement came as thousands of Cubans gathered in the capital, Havana, for a massive May Day march near the US embassy.
