While Ukrainian air defenses intercepted 388 of the incoming craft, direct hits were reported in the Ternopil, Zhytomyr, and Rivne regions, causing widespread fires, damaging power infrastructure, and leaving parts of the country without electricity.
In response to the intensifying pressure and Russian claims of territorial gains in the Kharkiv region, Zelenskyy announced a series of major military reforms. These measures, aimed at preparing Ukraine for a "prolonged war," include increased troop salaries, expanded drone manufacturing, and a strategic redeployment of ground forces to reinforce the Dnipro frontline.
