3:38Now PlayingIRAN’S FOREIGN MINISTRY said US President Donald Trump’s upcoming China visit is a “bilateral matter” between Washington and Beijing but stressed Tehran remains in constant contact with China as a key strategic partner and influential UN Security Council member.
The ministry said Chinese officials are “fully aware” of Iran’s position on the ongoing conflict and regional tensions. Tehran also claimed Beijing understands that instability in West Asia and the Persian Gulf threatens global economic security.
Iran signalled it expects China to play a bigger diplomatic role in warning against further US military escalation in the region.
