President Trump might’ve gone too far at a rally last night, and Julián Castro is not having it.
Trump was speaking about the tens of thousands of migrants at the border and how Border Patrol can’t “use weapons” to stop them, when one of his supporters screamed out “shoot them.”
The president laughed along with the crowd and instead of condemning such statement he said “only in the panhandle can you get away with something like that.”
Presidential hopeful Julian Castro called the president “a grade-A idiot” during an interview with Mother Jones Thursday.
Castro served as Secretary of HUD and mayor of SA. He’s one of 21 candidates running for the Democratic Party nomination to run against Trump in 2020.
For the full exclusive interview with Julian Castro listen to the Mojo podcast next week.
