The Georgia General Assembly will convene this week for a special legislative session to begin redrawing the state's congressional maps ahead of the 2028 election cycle. There are growing concerns among Democrats that the changes could eliminate up to three of the state's five Democratic seats in the House of Representatives. The move comes just weeks after the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act. Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock of Georgia joins Morning Joe to discuss the issue, along with his new book, titled: "The Crooked Places Made Straight: Reflections on the Moral Meaning Of America.”
