A New Orleans criminal court judge is facing serious questions after her former fiancé transferred a $765,000 home to her while his federal fraud case was unfolding.
Accountant Arthur Allen later pleaded guilty to fraud involving approximately $712,000 in COVID-relief funds. Property records reportedly show that Allen transferred his interest in an English Turn home to Orleans Criminal District Court Judge Kimya Holmes through two separate transactions.
In this video, we examine the timeline of those transfers, Allen’s federal fraud case and the legal questions raised when someone facing criminal charges gives away a valuable asset.
