A joint NBC News/NBC Bay Area investigation found a number of companies that appear to be illegitimate are using the F-1 student visa program to skirt immigration laws. The founder of a company called Findream, which claimed to employ 500 students in 2017, was charged with criminal fraud for “false verifications of employment” for Chinese F-1 via holders.
