After six painstaking hours, Sheehan finally came across a man in his 30s who witnessed the ordeal and was able to confirm key details. Suspect Peter Hibbert, 48, was charged with murdering his girlfriend of two years shortly after his arrest. The victim’s daughter, boyfriend and 1-month-old baby – who were also in the house and whom he allegedly threatened to kill – were unharmed.
