2:09Now PlayingA group on a whale watching trip off Provincetown, Massachusetts, were the firsthand witnesses of nature at its most dramatic on May 20, when a white shark emerged from the water to devour a seal.
Footage by Todd Michael Ferrer-Bedard shows the predator’s jaws closing on the seal, after it suddenly emerged from the water. The shark then resurfaces to pick off the rest of its prey.
Ferrer-Bedard, who said this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, told Storyful that he got “goosebumps and the chills” as soon as the shark surfaced.
“The amount of power that shark has is astonishing,” he said.
