Video shot by Attila Levai shows three people, including two with faces concealed, using a ladder to climb on a roof and remove the satellite dish from a building on Rye Lane in Peckham.
The art piece — a silhouette of a wolf howling — had been revealed by Banksy on his Instagram page earlier that day, and was the fourth piece the artist unveiled that week.
London’s Metropolitan Police confirmed the theft in a statement, saying: “We were called to reports of a stolen satellite dish containing artwork at 1:52 pm on Thursday, 8 August, in Rye Lane, Peckham. There have been no arrests. Inquiries continue.”
