as posted by the channelA Celebrity Cruises ship made a dramatic break from its moorings in Alaska on June 16, as a fast-moving squall ripped through the Gastineau Channel. The Celebrity Edge can be seen drifting away from the dock as fierce winds and dark clouds swept the area. The National Weather Service confirmed wind gusts topping 60 mph and issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the region. Despite the frightening scene, no injuries or damage to the vessel were reported.
