On July 4, a dozen assailants staged an ambush on an ICE detention center south of Dallas, shooting an officer in the neck. The gang, which has been apprehended, had flyers and flags reading "Fight ICE terror with class war" and "Resist Fascism -- Fight Oligarchy."
That same day, rioters in Portland assaulted officers at an ICE facility.
These attacks were followed 3 days later by a terrifying incident at a border patrol facility in McAllen, Texas, where heavily-armed Ryan Louis Mosqueda fired dozens of rounds at officers, inuring one. Mosqueda was killed at the scene.
Other incidents have taken place across the nation. DHS reports a 700% increase in violent attacks against ICE agents.
These acts of violent terror and evident attempts to spark a popular uprising against the government are extreme. But they stand on a spectrum of resistance that is amplified by Democrat leaders around the country.
