2:05Now PlayingA gunman who went on a shooting rampage at his former place of employment was motivated by revenge, according to his wife. The suspect killed at least five people after opening fire at a popular tourist market in Thailand. Police say he was a former security guard who killed his former colleagues. According to police "His wife believed that the motive stemmed from a long-standing personal conflict with a group of security officers after his car was scratched in 2019 to 2020. He had a deep affection and protectiveness toward his vehicle, and also had a violent temper, which led to him accumulating resentment over the years. He regularly vented about this unresolved issue because he had previously filed a complaint but saw no progress in finding the perpetrator, and he had also consumed alcohol before the incident."
