2:02Now PlayingUnited Airlines grounded mainline flights at major US airports — including the problem-plagued Newark — for several hours on Wednesday due to a short-lived technology issue and warned of ongoing delays even after the ground stop was lifted.
The airline suffered an outage of its weight calculation system for over one hour affecting flights at New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International, O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, Denver International Airport, and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport, according to the FAA.
