Japan has begun deploying drones that blast barking-dog sounds and fireworks to scare bears away from residential neighborhoods and farmland, in response to a recent rise in bear attacks. The drones are being tested by Gifu Prefecture at the Fruits Park Kurouchi Orchard to prevent bears from raiding apples and peaches.
