On Friday, April 10th, Chinese President Xi said "people on both sides of the Strait are all Chinese" while meeting with the Taiwan opposition leader. Meeting in the Great Hall of the People, Xi told Cheng that today's world is not entirely at peace, and peace is precious. Cheng Li-wun, chairwoman of Taiwan's largest opposition party, the Kuomintang said she is on a peace mission to reduce tensions with Beijing.
