2:01Now PlayingIn a rare bipartisan vote, the House passed legislation to extend temporary protections for Haitian immigrants for three years, aiming to counter efforts by President Donald Trump to end the program. The measure, backed by Democrats and a small group of Republicans despite GOP leadership opposition, passed 224–204 and would allow hundreds of thousands of Haitians to remain in the U.S. without fear of deportation.
