2:02Now PlayingBritain has approved sweeping anti-smoking legislation that will permanently bar anyone currently aged 17 or younger from ever legally buying cigarettes. Under the Tobacco and Vapes Bill, the legal age for purchasing tobacco will rise by one year each year, starting with people born on or after January 1, 2009, creating a lifetime ban for those groups. The law also introduces stricter rules on vaping, including bans on sales to under-18s and limits on advertising, displays, giveaways, and discounts.
