1:41Now PlayingAuthorities in the Philippines began recovery operations on May 26 after a building under construction collapsed in Angeles City, north of Manila, leaving at least four people dead and 16 missing. Rescuers searched through concrete and twisted steel for survivors after the collapse on May 24, rescuing 24 people, including a Malaysian national from a nearby damaged hotel. Officials said the cause remains under investigation, noting the building was approved for nine stories but a 10th-floor pool area was under construction at the time.
