For days, the Department of the Interior has insisted that the algae bloom in the Reflecting Pool was expected and that its state-of-the-art advanced nanobubbler technology would tame the problem. Manned crews began vacuuming the gargantuan pool and pouring in hydrogen peroxide, which is used in some paint removers.
