Authorities said the individual was exposed to extreme heat, with temperatures reaching 110°F, and had no access to water, ventilation, or a way to escape. The U.S. citizen driver was charged with alien smuggling, while the individual found in the trunk received medical assistance and was taken into custody for immigration processing.
