1:35Now PlayingA catastrophic flood swept through Nepal’s Himalayan Rasuwa district on Wednesday, August 26, after a massive collapse of mud and rock sent water and debris rushing through a village near the Tibet border. Eyewitness footage showed the torrent covering roads and parts of the settlement, with homes and hydropower infrastructure also damaged or destroyed. Authorities said at least 157 bodies had been recovered, while more than 400 tourists were reported missing. The cause remained unconfirmed, with officials investigating whether a glacier collapse triggered the flooding.
