1:29Now PlayingCCTV footage showed floodwaters and debris sweeping through Gyirong Port near the Nepal-China border after massive flash floods struck the region. At least 160 people were reported dead across Nepal and Tibet, while hundreds of tourists, workers and residents remained missing. Nepal officials reported 157 deaths and 403 missing people, including 341 foreign nationals, while Chinese state media reported three deaths and 265 missing in Tibet’s Gyirong County. Experts said a glacier-related avalanche was likely responsible for the flooding.
