42:52Now PlayingA Muslim caller joined my live and opened with a question I wasn't expecting him to answer himself. He asked me: how old was Mary? I told him there's no age given in Christian scripture and that it wouldn't be pedophilia anyway because Mary was a virgin. There was no sexual act. He didn't like that answer.
So he clarified his position. Unprompted. He said: "I believe that pedophilia is allowed in accordance with Islam and Sunnah. Yes, absolutely." Before I pushed. Before I even had to ask.
Then he tried to pull the Bible into it. He told me "John married Mary." John is not Mary's husband. He caught himself a second later: "I'm sorry. Joseph." Joseph and Mary never consummated the marriage according to scripture. It still wouldn't be pedophilia. He had no verse to give me.
He moved to Rebecca. He said she was three years old. I walked him through the Torah math: Genesis 47:9, 45:6, 41:46, 30:25, 31:41, 33:17-18, Exodus 6:18. Rebecca was 14 at the marriage contract. 24 when they first had sex. 34 when she gave birth to Jacob and Esau. He was working from Rashi's commentary (one rabbi) and I told him: Rashi doesn't use scripture for this, he uses an assumption from the Seder Olam. Other rabbis who outrank him disagree. He couldn't answer the math.
Then he said the Bible was corrupted anyway. I told him: if the Bible is corrupted, you have no grounds to argue Rebecca was three. You cannot use the book to make your point and then dismiss it when I use the same book to answer you.
He brought up my debate with Libyano. Said I dodged the question. I told him: Libyano's entire argument was built on a lie. He claimed I said jizya was immoral. I never said that. Not once. We went back and checked. His whole premise collapsed on a false quote. That's why he lost.
