1:36:28Now PlayingA political debater came onto my live after arguing that Donald Trump has positive attitudes toward — and even wants — the genocide of Gazans.
So instead of arguing around the claim, I asked him to prove it.
We went premise by premise.
We discussed Trump's statements about Gaza, his comments about Israel "finishing" the war, civilian casualties, Hamas casualty figures, Trump's proposal to relocate Palestinians during Gaza's reconstruction, the difference between ethnic cleansing and genocide, and most importantly: whether any of this actually demonstrates the specific intent required to establish genocide.
We also got into the civilian-to-combatant death ratio in Gaza and how much confidence anyone should actually place in the numbers and estimates being circulated online.
Interestingly, we agreed on more than you might expect. He condemned Hamas, rejected claims that Israel is an apartheid state, acknowledged antisemitism on the political left, and even described Israel as a net positive.
But agreement wasn't the point.
If you're going to make an extraordinary accusation like "Trump wants to genocide Gaza," you need evidence capable of establishing that claim.
Watch the entire debate and decide for yourself: did he prove it?
