Your Voice with Senator Cathy Young

February 12, 2013 Senator Cathy Young discusses tax relief for homeowners and businesses. Young says her main focus is to revitalize the state and the economy. She talks about where the legislature is in the public budget hearing process - and what she's heard from people about how the budget impacts lives. As the Senate Housing Committee Chair, Young is working to protect programs that benefit communities - like the rural and neighborhood preservation companies. Senator Young is also the Chair of the Rural Resources Commission and talks about policies she is working on to advance rural New York. Pat Rountree just retired from his position as the Executive Director of the Livingston County Economic Development Office and Livingston County's Industrial Development Agency. Senator Young also commemorates the service of three long-time members of the East Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department. Dorothy Roman had 63 years of service. Rudolph Halicki served for 63 years. And Ronald Martin with 50 years of service.
