Lake Shore Hospital, in her district, is in jeopardy of closing. Senator Young has worked to secure emergency funds to keep the hospital open past the closure date. This will give more time to come up with new ideas to save the hospital. Senator Young also discusses other issues she is negotiating in the budget that will determine the viability of the communities she represents.
