Senator Boyle says he has been tracking the rampant heroin use on Long Island and is working to provide solutions for this epidemic. Another issue discussed is the Victims Safe Treatment Act. It's legislation that Senator Boyle sponsors that will help sex abuse victims avoid being traumatized again during therapy sessions. It's what he calls a make sense piece of legislation -- just like the Public Assistance Integrity Act - regulations to stop welfare fraud with electronic benefit transfer cards. Lastly, Senator Boyle gives us a preview of his upcoming Black History Awards Ceremony.
