2:55Now PlayingFormer state senator and 2014 Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Jim Rubens told One America News reporter Neil W. McCabe that conservatives feel betrayed by Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R.-N.H). Rubens said Ayotte campaigned as a conservative in 2010, but in the Senate, she has abandoned her commitment to conservativism. Conservatives are searching for a GOP primary challenger to Ayotte, and if they cannot defeat her in the primary, they have a candidate lined up to run as an independent with the goal of taking away enough of Ayotte’s support that she loses to Democrat Gov. Maggie Hassen.
