Widely considered one of the best rugby players of all time, Fitzpatrick joined the All Blacks in 1986 and became its captain in 1992. Fitzpatrick holds the world record for playing in 63 consecutive test matches, and led the team to a series win in 1993 as well as to victory at the first Tri-Nations tournament in 1996. He has since served as a member of the board of Harlequins and written a best-selling book titled Winning Matters.
