Imran Khan is a politician and former cricketer who served as the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan from 2018 to 2022. One of the all-time cricketing greats, he won the 1992 World Cup. He founded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in 1996. As Prime Minister, Khan oversaw the country’s response to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. However, perceived failure to tackle corruption and declining performance in economic and social indexes led to a successful no-confidence motion. This address was delivered shortly before his 2022 protest march on Islamabad.
