Dr Husam Zomlot, head of the Palestinian Mission to the United Kingdom, speaks to the Oxford Union about the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, the need for a permanent ceasefire and the reality facing the people of the Gaza Strip each day. Dr Zomlot looks to the future: the need for resolution & peace and for countries to recognise the state of Palestine and the importance of a two-state solution.

Dr Zomlot. is a senior member of Fatah and an advisor to President Mahmoud Abbas.
