Unlike a typical city, Cahuachi wasn’t a place for residential life but instead served as a monumental pilgrimage center. The site dates back to 400 BCE, with large Adobe structures and temples built over several phases. One of the most notable discoveries here is the largest single piece of woven cloth ever found in the Western Hemisphere, alongside evidence of human sacrifice and trophy heads. Archaeologists believe the Nazca Lines may have directed travelers to Cahuachi, further adding to its mystique. With ongoing research and excavations, there’s always more to uncover about this ancient site and its role in the Nazca civilization.
