0:59Now PlayingIf you miss your asylum interview with USCIS, you need to immediately contact them by email and phone to request a reschedule. ⚠️ If you have evidence showing the absence was caused by something beyond your control, include it in your email. If you don’t get traction after the first couple of emails, which you should send weekly, also send a physical letter to the asylum office. 📬 After about four attempts, if nothing has worked, go in person to the asylum office to make the request. The good news is that USCIS almost always allows at least one do-over. They usually reschedule once without any penalty, even if you don’t have a strong excuse. 🙂 But you absolutely have to stay on top of it.
