Rachel King is the author of the novel People along the Sand. Her short stories have appeared in One Story, North American Review, Green Mountains Review, Northwest Review, and elsewhere. A graduate of the University of Oregon and West Virginia University, she lives in her hometown of Portland, Oregon.
King is in conversation with Mary Kay Zuravleff. Zuravleff is the author of American Ending, coming in June 2023. She is a founder of NoveltyDC, which offers manuscript consultations and private coaching. She has taught writing at American University, Johns Hopkins University, and George Mason University, and she has written and edited extensively for the Smithsonian Institution.
