Prime Minister Keir Starmer is facing the most significant challenge to his leadership since gaining office over his party's proposed welfare cuts. With a troublesome vote scheduled for next Tuesday (as confirmed by Angela Rayner at Deputy PMQs yesterday), Starmer and his whips must either amend the bill or get MPs in line. Ava and Conor talk about gravity of the bill, the necessity of the very benefits it seeks to cut, and the disconnect between senior MPs and their constituents.
