YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAt the DSEI, the "flagship defence event for the UK", according to their website, members of the queer community gathered to say "not in our name".
The arms fair has more than 1,600 exhibitors with representation from more than 90 countries, including Israeli arms company Rafael, and many more who supply the war on Gaza.
Protesters highlight Israel's pink-washing, which they describe as an Israeli government propaganda strategy that exploits LGBTQIA+ rights to project a progressive image while concealing Israel’s occupation and apartheid policies oppressing Palestinians.
DSEI is a large biennial defence and security trade exhibition, held every two years at London's ExCel.
Its purpose is to bring together governments, militaries, armed forces, defence companies, security firms, academics and others to showcase and explore military, security, policing, border control, surveillance, and related technology and equipment.
For DSEI 2025, the UK government has barred an official Israeli government delegation from attending, citing Israel’s military operations in Gaza. However, companies from Israel are still permitted to exhibit.
