But when I asked why she would support an administration pushing deportations, revoking citizenship, cutting aid, and targeting immigrants, her answer became clear: she only cared about what she believed benefited her community.
We got into Trump’s immigration agenda, Nigeria, religious violence, foreign aid, Iran, and whether supporting someone because they may help one group is worth ignoring the harm done to everyone else.

She said she supports Trump because she believes he is helping her people in Nigeria. But is it ever acceptable to support policies hurting immigrants, families, and communities here just because you think your own group might benefit?
