37:07Now PlayingThis week, we’re looking at four cases that have reached very different points in the legal process. In Los Angeles, a judge is hearing the evidence prosecutors say connects musician David Anthony Burke, known as D4vd, to the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. In Buffalo, Hadi Matar is on trial on federal terrorism charges stemming from the 2022 attack on author Salman Rushdie. In Brooklyn, longtime Sinaloa Cartel leader Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada has been sentenced to life in federal prison. And in Greece, a court has refused to extradite James Dalamangas to Australia over the 1999 killing of George Giannopoulos. These cases involve allegations of concealment, movement toward a specific target, organized criminal leadership and the limits of international extradition. As always, allegations and charges are not convictions unless a court has reached that result.
