In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have CATKing Educare founder Sumit Gandhi in conversation with Raj Shamani. He is an MBA graduate from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research. He founded CATKing Educare in 2008. It's been more than 15 years and his Ed-Tech company has only grown since then. Many students from his institute have gotten into the top 3 IIMs, NMIMS, and many other B-Schools.
In this episode, we talked about why doing an MBA in 2024 is important, what is the reality of people who apply for MBA exams, how many of them actually get selected and get into top colleges, and what happens with the rest of the students. We also talked about how many non-IITians get into IIMs and how many seats they actually have. He also shared what it takes to get into these B-Schools, Further we talked about the reservation system, what happens to quota students when they get into IIMs, and why there is an increase in the number of them dropping out from IIMs. We also talked about how 75% of MBA graduates are still unemployed and who should do an MBA.
We discussed whether online coaching is better or offline. We also touched upon career and love, what students should focus on, and why there are so many love stories in B-schools. He also talked about why online coaching is seen in a negative light these days and what’s the solution for this.
