13:44Now PlayingIn late May, 2024, Dimitri Lascaris visited the town of Bint Jbeil in south Lebanon. Bin Jbeil is known locally as "the Capital of Resistance".
There, Lascaris visited a Lebanese hospital hours after an Israeli drone strike killed and wounded ten civilians at the entrance to the facility. On the following day, Lascaris interviewed the Director of Civil Defence for South Lebanon, Abdullah Nourredine.
According to Nourredine, Israel is now attacking south Lebanon with white phosphorous "on a daily basis". Nourredine also reported that, since October of last year, Israel has repeatedly struck medical facilities and ambulances and has killed and wounded many Lebanese medical workers, all in violation of the Geneva Convention.

One week after Lascaris visited Bint Jbeil and interviewed Nourredine, U.S.based Human Rights Watch issued a report in which it accused Israel of violating international law by using white phosphorous in at least 17 municipalities in south Lebanon since October 2023.
