35:19Now PlayingBritain's speech gestapo just interrogated yet another human rights advocate under the UK’s notorious Terrorism Act 2000.
Momodou Taal, an academic and co-founder of Vox Ummah, was detained on January 22 at Heathrow Airport by UK police under Schedule 7 of the Act.
His electronic devices were seized by the police and he was forced into an interrogation without the presence of a lawyer, under pain of imprisonment. Under Schedule 7, detainees do not have the right to remain silent.
Rami Yahia speaks with Momodou about the Kafkaesque experience of being subjected to detention, interrogation and invasion of privacy under British law. Momodou explains how the interrogation unfolded and how Schedule 7 is used to repress pro-Palestinian advocates in the UK.
