TYT contributor Ryan Grim and his Intercept colleague Alex Emmons explain that the deal did not go through, in part because an attorney advised that it would be illegal unless Broidy registered as a foreign agent. Broidy is also known a the third client of Michael Cohen, along with Donald Trump and Sean Hannity. Broidy employed Cohen to payoff a mistress whom Broidy had impregnated.
