Today in a close ruling, Canada's Supreme Court decided that Quebec's long gun registry data can now be deleted.
This data was destroyed throughout the rest of the country after the Harper government abolished the long gun registry, but Quebec wanted to hold onto their list of legal gun owners.
Brian Lilley explains why gun control advocates are wrong that the destruction of this information puts Canadians' safety at risk.
Even Claude Colgan, whose sister was murdered in the "Montreal Massacre," disputes similar claims by gun control activists. "Where are the rivers of blood?" he asks rhetorically. "There are none."
